We met shortly after graduating from college through a group of mutual friends, who we hope you'll have a chance to meet over the weekend. We quickly realized that there was something special between us and started dating about a month after we first met. At the time, Tess was working in Denver and Pete was in the Army, based in Colorado Springs. During our first year together, we went through some early trials and tribulations! Pete left for a couple of phone-less months for training and then, shortly after his return, Tess was unexpectedly hospitalized. Somehow we kept bonding and braving I-25 traffic and we successfully made it through that difficult first year - thanks to our growing love for each other and the support of lots of friends. After a couple of fantastic years in Colorado, Tess was transferred to Chicago and Pete was deployed to Bahrain. By this point, we were seasoned pros at the long distance game, but that was the longest distance we hope to ever have between us! In the fall of 2020, Pete left the Army, moved in with Tess in Denver and we were finally able to say goodbye to long distance. We had a great year in Denver, enjoying being close to each other, old friends and family. A year later, we found ourselves on the move once again as we headed to Boston. Fortunately, we got to do this move together! While we love living in Boston for now, Colorado will always be home, and we can't wait to celebrate with you in our favorite place!
