The last 2 years have been crazy for all of us. Sandra and I were supposed to get married in May 2020 right before our move to Atlanta, GA for Sandra’s Medical Fellowship program at Emory University. After postponing our wedding date with our venue not once...not twice...but 5 times, we are finally ready to celebrate with our family!

Sandra and I met in Chicago through the dating app, Coffee meets Bagel in the fall of 2018. At the time, Sandra was in the middle of Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and I was completing Physical Therapy school at Rosalind Franklin University. Following many dates at coffee shops, bookstores, brunch spots, Christmas lights, and parks, I asked Sandra to marry me in July 2019. Fast forward to March 2020, Sandra was still in Chicago while I was finishing up my last rotations in California and making adjustments to our wedding that was scheduled for later in May. We ultimately decided to postpone our celebrations in California due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but knew we had to move to Atlanta for Sandra’s fellowship. In May 2020, Sandra and I had a small ceremony in the backyard of Sandra’s parents' house in Georgia that was live-streamed to friends and family. This upcoming May will mark 2 years of marriage for me and Sandra. We have been blessed while living in Georgia. Sandra is in the middle of her Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship training and has been recently published in a medical journal! I have been working as an outpatient physical therapist and learning new treatment methods everyday. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone and see you soon! -Peter
