Maid of Honor
Kayla's soul-mate. Sat next to each other in home economics in 8th grade. Audrey helped Kayla cover her planner in gum wrappers. Kayla helped Audrey plan her Halloween themed birthday party. Been best friends and nap buddies ever since. Brought Kayla and Peter together, unknowingly, with the help of her brother, Travis.
Best Man
Brother. Captain. King. Travis and Peter have been buddies since the dawn of time, when they recognized each other as capable warriors, champions of justice, and most importantly, loyal friends. Brought Peter and Kayla together, unknowingly, with the help of his sister, Audrey.
Bridesmaid
Kayla asked for a sibling for about five years. Sweet and crazy Makena is what she got. It worked out pretty well.
Bridesman
Carla and David didn't think one sibling was enough for Kayla. She originally disagreed but it turns out they were right. Seth is Kayla's favorite, hilarious little brother.
Groomsman
Having a big brother is probably a lot better than having a little brother. You have someone that is always there for you, someone you can look up to, and someone to follow when you don't know where to go. From having adventures in the woods with wooden swords to neighborhood super-soaker battles, it was nice for Peter to always have someone to rely on. John, Peter's big brother, is that someone.
Bridesmaid
Kayla's eternal roommate, party sidekick, and dance partner. Quickly became best friends after doing a mimed dance to Kanye West's 'Stronger' (with Audrey!) in 8th grade theater class. Maybe we'll break the moves back out during the reception.
Groomsman
It's easy to become lifelong friends with someone when you love and hate all the same things. Dylan and Peter met at college standing in line at a poster sale, where they discovered that they were both huge animal nerds (zoologists) and instantly became best friends. They have gone on many quests together, fought in many battles, and have always been there for each other. Their friendship shall last one thousand years, I set my watch and warrant on it.
Bridesmaid
Kayla's favorite homework and avoiding homework and everything in-between person. Their relationship began with shared suffering - from A-Course at GE to Georgia Tech - but evolved into best-friendship as Kayla realized Charlotte was always down for laying in bed all day watching cartoons. Also their dogs are really cute and they match.
Flower Girl
The happiest pup around. The baby of the family.
Ring Bearer
The chubbiest, sweetest animal ever to exist. Peter and Kayla's first-born.
Ring Bearer
The sweet, sensitive, handsome Mama's boy. The middle child.
Officiant
An angel sent to Kayla and Peter in a Mass Effect sweatshirt. They all met at Michigan State and fell in a triangle of nerdy love. The most dedicated and sweet friend in existence. Nobody else would be right to officiate Kayla and Peter's marriage.
Usher
Kayla is so glad Dave finally told her he had a sister. After Shannon's brother finally allowed her to meet his friends, Shannon became the apple of Kayla's eye. A wonderful friend, listener, and on-call doctor for all of Kayla's paranoid medical questions.
Usher
A long time friend of both Kayla and Peter. Forever rallying and organizing our mess of a friend group and doing it all with an adorable smile. Likely will be polkaing at the reception.
Mother of the Groom
Peter's mom is affectionately referred to by Peter's friends as the kindest woman to ever exist. Fun fact: she is! She is also the best mom that someone could ask for.
Father of the Groom
Professor. Baseball aficionado. Board game enthusiast. He has many talents, but the thing he's best at is being an amazing father.
Mother of the Bride
Kayla's Mom and one half of a potentially unhealthy Gilmore Girls-esque mother-daughter friendship. (I'm kidding - I'm sure it's healthy)
Father of the Bride
Kayla's softball coach, car mechanic, constant bartender, and most importantly Dad.
