13-year-old Kayla arrived at Audrey's house and noticed a cute, older guy hanging out in the kitchen. It was the elf ears that did it. One day, Kayla's children would have those elf ears. She still had braces, though, so she had to play the long game. 16-year-old Peter said 'hello' to Travis' little sister's dorky friend completely unaware of Kayla's newfound plan. They became friends - playing video games, watching movies, and drinking entire gallons of chocolate milk. Eventually, Peter went to Michigan State for college and Kayla followed a few years later (Note: Did not actually follow). With Kayla out of high school, Peter finally realized she'd been the one for him all along and Kayla internally cackled knowing her plan had succeeded. The rest is history.

A 5 mile hike through the sand dunes of Lake Michigan ended with a beautiful sunset, cherry wine, and 5 rings (for their 5th anniversary) - one of which Peter presented on one knee.
