just a few miles down the road from where the wedding will be, Palo Duro Canyon is a beautiful spot for hiking, camping and even horseback riding! Also the visitor center/restaurant has great burgers and the most amazing rolled ice cream (made to order right in front of your eyes... it's super cool to watch if you've never seen it!)
If you like steak and New Mexico green chili then this is the place to go!
the weekend of the wedding is the last weekend of the Texas Outdoor Musical at Palo Duro Canyon!
The first time Peter and Katelynn went here they shared the Smoke Stack and Philly Cheese Steak... still Katelynn's favorite shared meal! (Their fried green chile mac and cheese balls are also quite good!)
Their coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is nice and comfortable!
