We're getting married!

Hello and welcome to Kaley and Peter's story! Kaley and I first met in early October of 2021. She just celebrated her 27th birthday, and I had just moved to the cities a few months prior. Kaley was living with her friend Lauren at the time, and I was living with my friend Jeff. Jeff and Lauren had previously started dating earlier that year! My friends and I were stopping by the girls' place to hang out before a themed party we were going to. I remember "Laurens roommate" entering the living room and my jaw dropping. Following that meeting I was eagerly waiting to see her again, and it turns out I didn't have to wait long! October 31st rolled around, and Kaley and Lauren decided to host a Halloween party for all of their friends. The night began and friends gathered in their costumes to celebrate. Kaley donned a purple hat, sweater, suspenders, and a mustache to go as "Waluigi" from Mario, and I put on makeup and fake blood to dress as a zombie lumberjack. It took about an hour into the party for us to strike up a conversation, and the connection was instantly formed. We proceeded to talk for hours about anything and everything. I was head over heels to say the least. Following Halloween we talked every day, and met up for our first date a week later. That turned into multiple dates, and then into our official relationship, which began only a month later in December. Kaley and I quickly developed a loving, trusting, and happy relationship. Through endless hours of conversation about deeper points in life, to laughing at funny inside jokes for weeks on end, our love only grew with more intensity week after week. We spent 2022 learning each other, growing as individuals, and developing our relationship. Through open communication and trust, we made it clear to each other that we felt we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. With that in mind, Kaley and I bought our first home together in Maple Grove in early 2023 where we still reside with our dog Judge. Kaley and I were engaged to be married on October 14th, 2023. I had planned a small vacation to the North Shore, which had become one of our favorite weekend getaway spots. We hiked the trail for "Bean and Bear Lake." At the overlook of Bean Lake, I found a moment where Kaley was sitting on a rock facing away and there were no other hikers around. We had a beautiful private moment and walked away engaged to be wed! Our lives both as individuals, and as a couple, have been filled with constant love, support, and fun from all of our friends and family. For that, we can never thank you all enough.
