Art works from just about every major artist, including rotating exhibits of up & coming artists. No, the Obama portraits are no longer there, but it is an example of the artwork brought in.
Silver Comet Trail official start- Mavell Road / Nickajack Elementary Trailhead
Great Rails-to-Trails urban trail close to the ceremony & reception.
Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area - Paces Mill Unit
National Park Service National Recreation Area with many different sections to hike right along the Chattahoochee River. This section is close to hotels, ceremony & reception. Good for birding.
Truist Park
Check the MLB season schedule. The Braves are in town when you are here. They play the Mariners during the wedding weekend, then the Dodgers are in town the following week beginning Monday.
The Battery Atlanta
The Battery is the area right around the Braves Ball Park. It is full of restaurants, sports pubs, and a few other surprises. A couple of hotels are located within walking distance.
Blind Willie's
Atlanta oldest continuous blues club. Check schedule for a fun night out. Take an Uber!
Zoo Atlanta
A bit of a drive, but an enjoyable zoo
Marietta Square
Marietta Square is a nice old square with fun shops and restaurants to explore. This is the site of our first date and where Peter proposed and Jody accepted. This photo is at the Marietta Wine Market minutes after we were officially engaged.
