Travel
We are very fortunate to have friends from all over the country, and even abroad. We know that most of you that are planning to attend will be flying, so here is some information to make that process a little easier:
Aiken does have an airport, which occasionally offers solid deals to other hubs.
The Augusta airport connects to Atlanta and Charlotte. Flights there are more expensive, usually, than those more major airports. It is about 40 minutes from Aiken.
Charlotte and Atlanta usually have the cheapest flights to other parts of the country. Charlotte is two hours from Aiken and Atlanta is usually about three hours with traffic.
Columbia also has an airport an hour from Aiken.
If you choose to fly to Augusta, Charlotte, Columbia or Atlanta, you may choose to rent a car. Alternatively, Aiken Transport offers shuttles.
