Casual cocktail attire encouraged. But keep in mind the wedding is mostly outdoors so bring a sweater and a comfy pair of shoes!
The venue will host both the ceremony and reception and is mostly open to the outdoors, with several roofed structures and a giant tent for coverage. The ceremony is set to take place in an open-aired field, but if rain is expected, we will move it under cover.
August in Maine is usually warm, but sometimes the evenings can get cool, and, of course, there is always the possibility for rain. We recommend bringing layers and comfy footwear!
We recommend guests arrive 15 minutes to a half an hour prior to the ceremony. The extra time can be used to check out the grounds, mingle with friends, and take a look at the gorgeous views.
As much as we adore all of the children in our life, we are only able to invite a few close family member’s children. We appreciate you making plans ahead of time so you can celebrate our big day with us!

Yes, as soon as the ceremony is over and throughout the reception we encourage everyone to take and post photos! However, during the ceremony, we ask that you please refrain from taking photos with a phone or camera. Our photographer is fantastic and will get all the best shots.
We have hired a shuttle bus to transport guests from the Grand Summit Hotel to the venue before the ceremony and back at the end of the night. No problem if you would rather take your own vehicle - the choice is yours, and there is plenty of parking at the venue. Shuttle pickup times from the Grand Summit will be at 3:20pm and 3:40pm. Keep in mind the shuttle can only hold 26 people at a time and will only be making two trips, so please arrive early to ensure everyone is able to get to the venue by 4pm. Shuttle transportation from the venue back to the Grand Summit Hotel will begin at 10pm.
