How do I get to the venue?

Answer

If you've rented (or stolen) a car, there is ample parking at the venue. Additionally there will be shuttles running from the La Quinta Inn on Monterey both before and after the wedding. Cars can be left at the venue over night if you decide to take the shuttle home. What is the weather like in May?

Answer

In May the days are usually around the low 70's and the nights drop to the low 50's. The weather is beautiful this time of year, but there is always a chance of a little wind or a little rain. The ceremony and part of the reception will be outside so bring a jacket just in case. With any luck the sun will be shining and the hills will still be green come wedding day, but even if they aren't we will have ourselves a good time.

Why San Luis Obispo?

We live here! After Emily graduated from Cal Poly, Peter moved out to join her on California's beautiful central coast. We've spent the past 3 years hiking, surfing, and eating our way across the county. It's our favorite spot in the world, and we think you'll like it too.

Emilypalooza?! What's that about?

Answer

Whether we were making playlists together during Covid or seeing Chance the Rapper at Red Rocks in high school, our love story has had a constant soundtrack. Many of our favorite moments, with each other and with you all, have been accompanied by live music. We thought that there was no better way to celebrate that than with a beer and a concert. Please join us for a night of dancing and music from the wildly talented Traveling Pillsburys.

Will there be gluten free and/or vegan options available?

Answer

Yes! All of the paella will be gluten free and there will be a veggie option. We will also have veggie tacos available at Emily palooza and gluten free breakfast bowls at brunch!

Can I bring a plus one, my kids, my dogs?

Answer

Due to limited capacity at our venue, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. Please refer to your invitation (or the envelope of your save the date) to see how many seats are reserved for your party.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into San Luis Obispo Airport (SBP) as it is the most convenient. Located 5 minutes from Downtown SLO and 10 minutes from the venue, it is truly the easiest spot to fly in and out of. There are multiple flights to and from LAX, SFO, DEN, and PHX each day. Not finding what you need? Santa Barbara Airport is another great option that is just 90 minutes down the coast. Want to make it a road trip? Located smack-dab in the middle of LAX and SFO, a 4 hour drive from either direction can be broken up with some stops at Big Sur, Hearst Castle, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium to the North or Santa Barbara, Solvang, and Magic Mountain to the South.

Question

This hotel stuff is for chumps, is there anywhere I can camp?

Answer

You betcha, our venue allows for camping on the property the weekend of the wedding. Bring your gear and pitch a tent on the hill. The owner charges $25 per person per night. Camping all the way here? There are a ton of spots to the North in Big Sur and other BLM areas. Loop in a site at Camp 4 in Yosemite and a night in Sequoia and you've got a nice little adventure on your hands.
