In early September 2023, the stars aligned and two strangers went to Woodcutters for a drink. Pete being in the middle of an alcohol-free month, ordered a near beer, and Dianna probably had something dark on tap. When she got up to use the restroom he was surprised to receive some words of encouragement from the couple beside us, unaware they had been tuning into our first date that whole time. After discovering we have a lot in common including having lived abroad and dabbled in our share of type two fun, we were excited to continue to get to know each other in the time that followed. This included Dianna impressing Pete with her pad thai recipe and Pete absolutely crushing Dianna in basketball. Over the next few dates she would discover he can make a killer lasagna and some days she can out throw him in cornhole. We quickly felt we were a natural match. It surprised us to learn that as two people who have done a lot of travel, we haven't been to any of the same countries! Just a few months into dating and we were talking about honeymoon destinations and how many kids we'd like to have. Just over a year later we were overjoyed to welcome sweet Lyla into the world, our future flower girl. Be prepared for her to steal the show in June!
