Best Man
Former high-school teacher of the couple and now landlord to Peter, Patrick is an excellent backpacking buddy and an engaging conversationalist. Find him in the living room reading a book better than the one you've been reading or watching a movie deeper than the one you've been watching. With a head full of facts and a heart of gold, Patrick would run down a mountain to find a single lost sheep.
Maid of Honor
The youngest Clark sister, Nora is a friend to all, a unifying force, and a fun-loving spirit. Addie loved experiencing Nora’s musical gifts at play in shared choirs and orchestras through the years; more recently, they’ve celebrated and commiserated over their shared nursing school experiences. Trust Nora to be faithfully at your side, whether you need to weep, watch a late-night movie, or sing at the top of your lungs!
Groomsman
The elder Cieslak son, Stephen has been the best role model and work-out buddy a brother could ask for. Funny, handy, and always willing to help, Stephen is a hard worker who never complains. His loyalty and love for his family run deep; a great, all around man's man.
Bridesmaid
Middle sister Lia packs a serious punch of intensity, focus, and professionalism, though rumored to become silly at times. Find her in the Clark kitchen executing flawless meals at lightning speed. On the day of the engagement Lia asked, “What can I plan?” and 3 days later unveiled a comprehensive spreadsheet of prospective caterers.
Groomsman
Back in the days of yore, growing up together on 53rd Avenue, Peter and Andrew could commonly be found poring over Legos, computers, and strategy games. Peter's oldest friend, Andrew is an ardent debater, an amazing writer, and the craziest backpacker you've ever met. Ask him about the "shale rocks" sometime.
Bridesmaid
Lorenza and Addie lived in the same dorm for a year and only met once - ask them about that one. In sophomore year, mutual friend Angela (re)-introduced them; they immediately hit it off and soon became roommates, chatting day and night and still finishing their homework. Mostly. Lore’s faith is a light in the darkness, and you can talk to her about anything.
Groomsman
No one made Peter get so angry in class or laugh so hard on a long backpacking trip as Sam. Another Trinity friend and Portland local, Sam and Peter have enjoyed spending time debating each other over drinks, hikes, and, most recently, sacramental prep. Argumentative, intelligent, and full of out-of-pocket jokes, Sam never ceases to spark conversation.
Bridesmaid
Genna began teaching art at Trinity in time for Addie and Peter’s senior year; she also moved into the Clark household and quickly became the big sister Addie never had. Genna has a warm heart, deep faith, and an incredible gift for listening and understanding. Plus, she’s been a great role model for dating and marriage!
Groomsman
Another former classmate, Neil and Peter bonded over their dorky senses of humor and playing center for the Trinity basketball team. Despite the almost 2,000 miles that now divide them, you'll still find them sharing music back and forth on Spotify. Let it be known that Neil introduced Peter to Jon Bellion, now his favorite singer.
Bridesmaid
Juliet and Addie’s friendship is proof of the theory that opposites attract - yet they’re somehow so similar too!? Also a principal’s kid who likes theology, violas, and thick novels, Juliet lights up a room with her laugh and stellar conversational abilities. She could probably start a philosophical discussion with a literal rock and get some incredible insights out of it.
Groomsman
The only classmate to journey with Peter from Archbishop Howard School to Trinity Academy for high school in 2016, Jacob and Peter go way back. Now a diocesan seminarian with an impressively pastoral beard that Peter envies but cannot hope to replicate, Jacob is a man who's strong in faith and friendship.
Bridesmaid
Sophia has been a dependable friend to Addie through multiple life stages, from high school at Trinity, to college in Indiana, to reuniting back in Portland and beginning their adult-ish lives. Soph brings the fun and glamor and is the instigator of many a hike, culinary adventure, or thrift-shop mission, always with tea and snacks at the ready.
