The Story

12/2018: Peter & Addie star as George & Mary Bailey in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life.’ Acting the classic romance sparked real-life feelings for both the actors! But professions of love never left the stage.

2016: Peter & Addie start 9th grade at Trinity Academy, founded by the Clarks & friends. Though reluctantly made to attend because of sister Teresa’s good experience, Peter looks happy on picture day!

Over time, the 13 classmates built strong friendships and came to deeply enjoy spending time together. We cherish the memories: Ava, Ceci, Gabe, Jacob, Jules, Neil, Nyibol, Pena, Ruth, Sam, & Sophia

2018: This shot of Addie and Peter with Trinity Thunder bball classmates highlights Peter’s resident Tall Guy status and Addie’s subpar jumping ability. And Peter’s apparent resistance to uniforms?

2019: Addie was astonished to learn, years later, that Peter had apparently started trying to stand by her whenever anyone took a photo! Can you find Peter in this ominous cast photo from ‘Antigone?’

5/2019: Catch him standing nearby again in this goofy class photo from Spring Field Day in our junior year! (unclear what this pose is, but it’s an accurate depiction of the general class dynamic!)

6/2022: Thankfully, motivated classmates tried to get the alumni together a few times a year if possible, with summer beach trips and the like. Here, look who’s sitting next to each other again…

6/2023: …and again, at the Tillamook Cheese Factory for another class trip the following summer!

7/2020: Find Peter and Addie in this graduation photo - it was a celebration like no other, held outdoors in late July due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Not the end to high school they were anticipating.

11/2024: After a few years of seeing each other once or twice, Addie moved back to PDX, Peter decided to shoot his shot, and they were perfect for each other! On this hike they made it official.

2/2025: Many cozy hangouts and adventurous dates followed; here, on a ferry on a whirlwind day trip to Seattle, tiny in the distance, a surprise for Addie’s birthday.

6/2025: Peter made the traditional Clark pilgrimage to South Bend, IN, with the family for friends’ wedding in the summer, and got to see a quick tour of Addie’s highlights at alma mater Notre Dame.

9/2025: Adventures continued with fun dates exploring all the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

10/2025: Peter & Addie handed out candy as Mr. Darcy & Elizabeth Bennett from Pride & Prejudice - though it was a truth universally acknowledged that they’re far more similar to Bingley & Jane.

12/26/2025: The ring perfectly captured the sparkle of the Christmas lights at the Grotto.

We can’t wait to see what will happen next in our story as we begin our life together!

12/26/2025: And finally, more than 9 years after first meeting each other, this real-life love story came to fruition on a special night with a special gift when Peter proposed to Addie at the Grotto!
