A fun outdoor area with food options in shipping containers and a common consumption rule in place that allows everyone to mingle regardless of where you choose to eat. This area was developed by the company Pete first work for in Fort Collins

A lovely State Park just on the opposite side of Horsetooth Reservoir. Great views with both leisurely and strenuous hikes. Go up to Arthurs Rock, or Horsteooth Rock in the neighboring Horsetooth State Park for great views of Fort Collins & the Front Range pat the foothills and
Poudre River & Trails
This is the river that runs through town and is an easy walk from Old Town. There are MILES of connected paved walking trails, bike paths, and natural areas. It is also a very popular spot for fly fishing, both in town and up the Poudre Canyon. There are tubing opportunities down the river in spring and early summer, however the water level is likely to be too low in August.

Started in 1933 this is the oldest restaurant in Fort Collins and is a phenomenal brunch spot. Try to get there before 9:30 on weekends as the wait list gets very long very quickly. You'll need to go home with some cinnamon rolls

Fantastic Louisiana breakfast/brunch option. Just make sure that you have a slow day planned as a post meal nap could be in your future.

Jen was upset to find out this wasn't a local diner, but rather a chic chain throughout the Southwest. Good food options located right in downtown Fort Collins

The best Deli in town and my go-to sandwich stop. Also was rated best FC Restaurant for beer 9 years in a row!

Lee Martinez Community Park
Located just around the corner from our house, this Park has direct access to the Poudre River and is where we have our daily walks with Loki! I personally call it Pedro Martinez Park, but nobody here in Colorado understand my joke : ( Oh, and there's also a farm animal component for kids?

Started in 1909, the oldest Bar in Fort Collins, true dive bar, and the prepostgame beer spot for Pete's winter basketball team. Poured the first New Belgium Beer ever and almost closed before a Gofundme raised $100k to save it.

Rocky Mountain National Park
A great option for an extended stay in the area. Rocky Mountain National Park is an hour and a half drive from Fort Collins and has stunning mountain views, meadows, lakes, and wildlife. If you're planning to visit, go to their reservation system to pick an entrance time as they began limiting the number of daily visitors
