Wedding Time

After landing a monster rainbow trout together before a huge crowd at triple falls, Charles suggested they celebrate with lunch. As they waited for the meal, Perry found a beautiful new dress Charles bought her & suggested to wear out to dinner the next night at The Biltmore Estate. Thinking nothing of it as she was accustomed to Charles’ dating charms, the excitement was just that of a fancy evening out upon arriving to the grounds. After Perry’s suggestion of “let’s just get a bottle of champagne & go sit somewhere nice,” Charles wondered if she may have known. When they arrived at a quiet bench, overlooking the farm & riverside he offered her a glass. As he brought out the bottle from its carrying bag he sleekly bent down to one knee & pulled a ring box from the bag. “Perry, will you marry me?” She burst out in laughter exclaiming “Are you kidding me ?! Like seriously?!?!” After the shock wore off & it was apparent he was indeed serious from the look of the gorgeous custom designed ring, she threw her arms around him with a YES!! The aquamarine stone surrounded in a bouquet of diamonds & gold leaf slid onto her finger & sang hallelujahs into the fading sun as its beautiful light bounced off the champagne. They celebrated with an elegant dinner at the bistro with a signature dessert spelling out “Congratulations.” The bigger surprise was that Charles had been planning for months & already asked her parents for their blessing. She had to call Charles dad just to make sure it was ok as Perry wanted nothing more than to be Mrs. Humphrey & an official part of the family.
