Make it a Weekend

Our engagement party will be held in Gloucester, MA. This is a neighboring town to Essex, where Perry grew up! There is so much to love about this area, especially in the summer. Here are some of our favorite things to eat, see, and do in the area! If you would like to make this a weekend trip, we would highly suggest looking sooner rather than later as places book up quickly. If hotels aren't your vibe - AirBnb & Vrbo have some absolute GEMS on the North Shore - just text us if you have any trouble finding one or questions about the best locations!

Short & Main

This is a fantastic spot for woodfired pizza, delicious cocktails & local oysters! Reservations are advised - it can get busy!

Crane Beach

Ipswich, MA

You'll probably find all of Perry's cousins hanging out on the backside of Cranes! Its also totally worth a visit up to Crane Estate / Crane Castle if you have never been or if its been a while since your last visit. We love walking around the Italian Gardens!

Bearskin Neck / Rockport

A great day-trip location. Lots of little shops and cafes / lunch spots along the way!

J.T. Farnham's

If you're interested in trying the famous Essex Fried Clam - Farnham's is our favorite spot! If its too crowded there, we love Essex Seafood (down the street), but you can't beat the views from JT Farnhams. After gouging ourselves on a shared Fisherman's Platter we like to walk it off at the Allyn Cox Reservation (82 Eastern Ave, Essex, MA 01929) - this is where Perry and Sam were right before getting engaged last November!
