Things To Do

Sunset Beach Dubrovnik

Sunset Beach Dubrovnik

17 Šetalište kralja Zvonimira, Dubrovnik, Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija 20000, Croatia
, +385 20 642 700

The rock beach that we hang out most frequently. It is easy to get to especially if you are staying in Lapad.

Sveti Jakov Beach

Sveti Jakov Beach

14 Ulica Vlaha Bukovca, Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija 20000, Croatia

A locals beach that tends to be less crowded and less touristy, but a little further or a drive to get there.

Old Town

Old Town

Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik-Neretva County 20000, Croatia

This is the famous UNESCO world heritage site. We recommend going extremely early in the morning before it gets hot and crowded or waiting until the evening when it cools off a bit. Thanks to Game of Thrones, this place can be a tourist trap and the stone walls can make it unbearably hot with the crowds. There are plenty of restaurants and this is where the bar scene is for those of you wanting to grab some drinks, but the food tends to be overpriced so we recommend eating outside of Old Town.

Ride the Cable Car up to Mount Srd

Ride the Cable Car up to Mount Srd

Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik-Neretva County 20000, Croatia

The Dubrovnik Cable Car is a lovely way to ascend the hill while enjoying the birds-eye views of Dubrovnik Old Town and the Adriatic, but you can also drive. There is a panorama restaurant (reservation suggested but not required) on top of the hill. In the opposite direction from the restaurant there are the remains of the Napoleonic Fort Imperial which also houses the Homeland War Museum which is worth a visit. You can see many artifacts from the 1991 siege of Dubrovnik in the war.

Trsteno Arboretum

Trsteno Arboretum

20233, Trsteno, Dubrovnik-Neretva County 20233, Croatia
, +385 20 751 019

A gorgeous old, established arboretum with an old family summer home in the middle. Beautiful sea views, and well maintained renaissance and Baroque gardens with plants from all over the world. It is a small drive away and spending 1-2 hours there is plenty. It is one of the film sites for Game of Thrones.

Revelin Nightclub

Revelin Nightclub

3 Ulica Svetog Dominika, Dubrovnik, Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija 20000, Croatia
, +385 98 533 531

Our favorite and the only nightclub right in Dubrovnik. Plan on getting there early or buying a table because the lines can be horrible later in the night. It is open to 6am and is known to have some really good DJs.

Buža Bar

Buža Bar

9 Crijevićeva ulica, Dubrovnik, Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija 20000, Croatia
, +385 95 883 1750

A bar located on the side of a cliff. Definitely something to check out and grab a few drinks there while you relax with the stellar view.

Day Trip to Ston

Day Trip to Ston

Ston, Dubrovnik-Neretva County 20230, Croatia

If you have an extra day and love oysters, Ston is famous for that! Plan on taking majority of the day if you are doing this trip. It is also a mild break from the crowds in Dubrovnik and you will get to see more of the coast line.

Tavern Arka Restaurant

Tavern Arka Restaurant

Na Ratu 3A, Zaton, 20235, Dubrovnik, Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija 20235, Croatia
, +385 20 694 659

The owner of the restaurant is a friend of ours and the food is absolutely incredible. I would recommend the salmon but it is all delicious. The decor is also beautiful and worth going to see. It is located at the bottom of a hotel that is being renovated, so you might accidentally drive past it if you see a little construction because there is nothing else around it!
