Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Many locals will tell you that fall is the best time to visit the Outer Banks! The weather is typically mild until the end of December. Expect dry air and average historical temperatures in the high 60's with lows in the 50's. But anything can happen, of course. On November 4, 2021, it was 88°F!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

"Beach Semi-Formal/Cocktail" Maxi or midi dress / slacks & a button-down / formal jumpsuit / linen / fun, bold prints / dressy sandals, chunky heels, wedges, loafers, boat shoes Jackets and ties not required, but a sport coat or blazer recommended given evening temps in the 50s-60s

Question

How do you pronounce Corolla?

Answer

Cor-RAH-lah

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want this to be a night free of parenting responsibilities! Ceremony and reception will be adults only. Kiddos welcome for all other events!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a free parking lot around the corner (0.2 miles) from the venue if you’d prefer to drive yourself to and from the wedding. The lot is called “Bonito St Public Beach Parking” and can be found on Google Maps. Otherwise, we’ll be sending shuttles to pick guests up at the Inn at Corolla and the Hampton Inn & Suites. Uber and Lyft also exist, but can be unreliable in the off season, so plan accordingly!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside on the beach. The reception will also be held outdoors just a few steps away in the backyard of our event home. In the event of inclement weather, all events will be moved inside the home.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bride and groom will take pictures on the beach with their family for 45-60 minutes. Guests can head straight up the walkway to the backyard where we will be serving beverages and appetizers!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please try to arrive at Bonito St. Beach between 4:00-4:15 PM in order to find your seat, snap a few pics, silence your phones, and get settled before the 4:30 PM ceremony commences!

Question

Will food and drink be served at the reception?

Answer

You better believe it! We’re hoping to give you a real taste of eastern North Carolina cuisine. We’ll have an open bar, appetizers, catered dinner, and dessert. We hope you love to eat as much as we do!

Question

Can I bring my dog to the wedding?

Answer

BLARGH! We wish. We really do. Unfortunately our event home is not pet friendly. However the OBX beaches allow dogs, so definitely travel with your furry friends as long as they can safely hang out in your pet-friendly accommodations during the nuptials!

Question

Why are you getting married on a Friday?

Answer

A) We love Fridays! B) Event home rentals on the Outer Banks only exist as Sunday-Sunday or Saturday-Saturday rentals, and we didn’t think we could successfully throw a Saturday bash and be checked out by 10am Sunday morning. C) Four-day weekend baby! D) You get to party even harder because you have an extra day on Sunday to decompress, travel home, and get ready for Monday

Question

Are you having bridesmaids and groomsmen?

Answer

Nope! We are keeping it small and simple with just our maid of honor and best man.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Only if your invitation explicitly says so!

Question

Should I tag you in my photos?

Answer

YES! We’d love to see all your photos from our wedding weekend! You can use the hashtag #ToHaveAndToReinhold or #ThePernuptials, whichever pun you hate less!

Question

Do I need to wear a mask?

Answer

As long as you’re vaccinated and outdoors, you do not need to wear a mask. If you plan on spending time inside the house, we just ask that you only do so only if you’re symptom- and exposure-free.

Question

Who should I contact if I have more questions?

Answer

You can email Mel at melissa.perna@gmail.com or Tyler at reinholdtyler92@gmail.com
