Question

Will there be transportation to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! Buses will leave directly from the Hampton Inn & Suites (900 W Main St), and the Home2 Suites by Hilton (201 Monticello Ave). For those not staying at these hotels, or not staying within walking distance of these hotels, there are several parking garages/areas near the pickup locations we'd recommend checking out should you still want to ride the buses (PRO TIP: you can find the nearest parking lots/garages to the pickup locations highlighted in yellow on the maps posted above!). 3:40pm: Buses depart from Hampton Inn 4:00pm: Bus departs Home2 Suites 8:30pm: Early Bird bus will depart Eastwood for both hotel stops 10:00pm: Last buses will depart Eastwood for both hotel stops, and UVA/The Corner Please note that Eastwood is a 15-minute drive from downtown Charlottesville. Should you not be able to make the buses, please consider using Uber or Lyft for your transportation to the venue; the ceremony will be taking place on the terrace level. Those who prefer to drive themselves may park at the lot by the tasting room to be shuttled to the top!

The ceremony is outside, but will the reception be indoors?

Answer

We'll be hosting the dinner reception and dancing under Eastwood's beautiful and spacious sailcloth tent. Weather permitting, we'll keep the sides up to take in the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Otherwise, you can expect some of the tent sides down with the possibility of heaters. It couldn't hurt to bring a coat of some sort if you think you may be chilly, but seeing as, in Sam's words, Natalie is "worryingly sensitive to the cold," we'll be making sure everyone is taken care of!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—truly, so much. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We’ve booked a couple babysitters to make that a reality. If you are in need of childcare on Friday or Saturday night, please reach out to Natalie or Sam directly!
