How We Met

Middle School Break Up

Jake and I met in 7th grade before the 7:10 bell. I would ride the bus to school and Jake would get dropped off early, so we would have to wait in the cafeteria until the bell would ring. Jacob showed up with a frappuccino, always vanilla bean flavored. I asked him tons of questions that grew into long conversations, and that's how this friendship started. We dated for almost five weeks in middle school until drama ensued and Jacob broke little Sarah's heart. This breakup was followed by an anonymous voicemail left on Jacob's phone, advertising the "Douchebag Hotline". My cousin Teran may or may not have been involved and we still joke about it to this day. Jacob and I stayed friends throughout high school. A couple of "hey how are you?" texts, and one random five-mile run where I ran to his house just to say hello. High school graduation came soon after, and Jacob had given me a challenge. I had been painting canvases for my friends, but he didn't think I could paint a canvas that a boy would like - so I happily accepted the challenge. A week or two later, I dropped off the most manly Penn State canvas he had ever seen. The canvas hung in his college dorm all year long. It's safe to say he was impressed. During sophomore year of college, Jake and I began texting more frequently. We would talk on the phone until 3 AM about absolutely everything. My college friends did not hear the end of this mysterious guy named Jacob. During this time, we loved sharing songs with each other, and we eventually had a whole playlist of songs called, "Rainy Days". After our (second) First Kiss over Silky's ice cream, we decided to make this thing official. 3 years later and we are ready to tie the knot - ,May 14th 2021, we are ready for you!
