This darling museum is fun for families and naturalists alike! The butterfly room is magical, and the nature walk is peaceful.
Adler Planetarium
Daisy volunteers here and it is a wonderful time for all of those who like to look up at the night sky (also has beautiful views of Chicago)!
American Writers Museum
One of Peri's favorite spots for inspiration, a great place to learn about writers, fairly interactive, and not too large so it's a good size for a short visit!
The Art Institute of Chicago
A literal institution of Chicago, incredible collections, and has many discounts so look before visiting to bring the right identification!
Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago
Beautiful museum with changing collections, and a great cafe! Plus beautiful views of the city and near a lot of shopping downtown!
National Museum of Mexican Art
One of Peri's favorite museums in the city! This museum has such a great collection of Mexican art and strikes a balance between history, art, and analysis of arts place in social movements and social justice!
DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center
This is an incredible museum within a beautiful park. It's a bit of a drive from Lincoln Park if you're staying there, so try to get a meal nearby; there are tons of incredible restaurants in the area.

This was the spot that Peri and Daisy started their much contested first date (Peri thought it was a friend hang, Daisy thought it was a date, it all worked out in the end)!

Peri and Daisy's favorite bakery (their egg custard buns are out of this world)!
Pittsfield Cafe
While a little hard to find, this darling cafe has amazing breakfast and is in an old banker's building, so the architecture is fascinating.
Tiztal Cafe
Amazing brunch, and super cozy atmosphere around the corner from Peri and Daisy.
Chiya Chai Logan Square
Peri's favorite spot for tea in the city because they have Chai flights (though don't sleep on their food, it's pretty incredible, highly recommend a saag pie if it's on their special).
Andersonville Galleria
A huge gallery of local artist's work that spans multiple floors. Pick up a gift or a memento from here, there is a little something for everyone!
Exile in Bookville
A great bookstore near the Bean with an incredible selection of poetry.
Slant of Light Books
Adorable bookshop with a decent selection despite it's smaller size! Great to stop in while walking around Old Town and Lincoln Park.
Unabridged Bookstore
Peri's favorite bookstore in the city. Large LGBTQ+ selection, an amazing children's selection, as well as extensive sci-fi and fantasy selections.
Women & Children First
Another great bookstore that prioritizes women and marginalized genders' books, with a large children's section.
