FAQs

If you have any questions outside of those listed here please reach out to either Peri or Daisy by text or phone call!
Question

But like, what does your dresscode actually mean?

Answer

Truly we don't care what you wear despite not wanting people to wear pajamas, sweatpants, or jeans. As a queer couple we know how hard it can be to feel confident in formal wear with dresscodes and just want everyone to feel comfortable, confident, and fun! If that is wearing a suit or dress, great! If it's a jumpsuit or vest, also great! This is a very whimsical and autumnal wedding, so if you want to lean into that, we'd love that, but if you'd prefer to stick to something more traditional, you can totally do that as well! What's most important is that we want everyone to feel confident and like themselves!

Question

What is the menu like?

Answer

We have tried to keep an intentionally pescetarian and mainly vegetarian menu, but all the plated food is either vegetarian or vegan. However, please let us know when you RSVP if you have any other dietary restrictions so we can accommodate those needs.

Question

I didn't see any items listed on your registry... what do we get you?

Answer

First and foremost, your presence is a gift all in itself. If you'd like to get us a gift please donate to either our honeymoon fund or one of the charity funds we are supporting and wanting to donate to. We have lived together for a while now and need very few things, so unless something is sentimental that you'd like to share with us, we'd prefer to prioritize funding an experience or supporting our community.

Question

The hotels you have listed either do not suit my taste or are booked up, any other spots I should look into?

Answer

Chicago has a ton of hotels and great places to stay in every neighborhood. We would suggest just checking the distance and travel from the lodging to Cafe Brauer. If it's over 30 minutes by train, bus, or car, then you should probably try to find somewhere closer, or plan for traffic as traffic and public transit delays can affect your travel time in the city significantly.

Question

I really want to come to your wedding, but life is really expensive right now, any suggestions on ways I can come more affordably?

Answer

Just reach out to one of us and we will work with you to figure out the lowest cost options for you to be able to make it to our wedding! Obviously, we understand if it's not possible, but we are willing to try to be creative if you are in order to ensure your ability to come.
