Check our wedding website often for updates. Make sure to put the Save the Date magnet provided to all of our guests on your fridge at home. We wouldn't want you to miss it! Be on the lookout for invitations to arrive sometime in July 2022 and when they do, RSVP on our website. Start brainstorming your costume! (if you want to wear one)
Sure! We're excited too and truth be told, we've already RSVP'd to ourselves. So if you're already sure you're going to be able to come (or are certain that you unfortunately cannot come), head over to the RSVP section of this website, enter your name (or the name of someone in your household), and you should be able to RSVP quickly and easily.
Awkward... This means one of two things: 1. Either you entered your name wrong (meaning you've forgotten how to spell your own name... or the more likely scenario, I suppose, is that we've spelled your name wrong... oops). Make sure you're entering your name exactly as we have it spelled on your save the date/invitation envelope. And if that does happen to be the wrong spelling of your name, please let us know so we can avoid making that same mistake on future Christmas cards, birthday cards, or police reports. Or 2. You're not invited. Dang. Seriously though, if you received a save the date or invitation and you're having trouble, please reach out to me (the spooky bride) at 276-235-8156 and we'll get it fixed.
Just a few. We wanted to extend the opportunity for our guests to wear costumes for three major reasons: 1. We love Halloween and we love it when other people love Halloween; 2. We want everyone to have the most fun possible at our wedding; and 3. It would make us so happy to look around the room and see Superman dancing with Michael Myers, a pirate having dinner with a princess, or a Care Bear chugging a beer (Mike would actually like to see that). With that being said, we do have a few small rules since it is still a wedding and we do still want everything to go smoothly... 1. Please make sure your costume is tasteful and fitting for the event. Meaning... No slutty Peter Pan. No giant genitalia. No racist, sacrilegious, or otherwise inappropriate attire. 2. We know they're fun, but please don't wear an inflatable or unreasonably large costume. They're big, they're bulky, they would potentially get in the way of pictures, the food table, crowd the dance floor... you get the idea. 3. Last, but not least... I'm begging you... do not dress up as a bride. I will cry. When in doubt, reach out! If you really want to wear a certain costume, but you're not sure if you should, you can always ask. We're not going to make fun of you (unless we really want to) and if we do, it'll be straight to your face.
Yes! We will have various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for you to enjoy. Please drink responsibly.
We are not registered anywhere for gifts. We have plenty of furniture, kitchenware, curtains, toilet bowl brushes, four-slice toasters, etc. If you want to give a gift, the only thing we really want is money to spend on our honeymoon. There is a Honeymoon Fund section on this website that will allow you to gift whatever amount you want and we will also have a honeymoon fund box set up at the wedding for anyone who wants to contribute. But please don't feel obligated to gift anything. We just want to see you at our wedding!
Because we don't have many guests traveling from out of town who plan on staying overnight, we do not have a block of rooms reserved. We have provided some lodging options in the Travel section of this website for those of you who wish to make reservations.
If you have a question that we haven't answered, please let us know. You can call or text the bride at 276-235-8156 up until October 14th, the day before the wedding.
The best way to find our venue is to use a GPS. The address is 3222 Meadow Creek Road, Galax, VA. If you aren’t able to navigate with a GPS, please reach out to us ahead of time for directions.
