YES! We want to make sure our guests are comfortable and well fed. Please let us know if you have any allergy and we will do our very best to accommodate it. Please just let Alli know as soon as you can so we can plan for it!
We ask that you please do your best to RSVP by September 5th.
Due to space limitations at our venue, everyone we have allotted space for will have their name on the RSVP, including children and dates (infants do not have to RSVP and are included if you wish). Please let us know though if you think we forgot to include anyone (:
We want you to come as you are, in whatever you feel comfortable in! Our venues are more formal, but we are not at all recommending you come in your tuxes and gowns... we are casual people! (: Semi formal or dressy casual attire is just fine.
Since the ceremony is in downtown Portland, we recommend that people arrive early and leave plenty of time to deal with traffic if needed, and find the church and park.
At First Baptist Church, please feel free to park for free in the lot located on the corner of SW Salmon and 12th Avenue. This lot, however will not have enough space for every guest, so if you are unable to park in that lot, please find street parking or in a paid lot. If you are able to walk a ways, we ask that you please leave the spots in the reserved lot for those who need more help.
Yes! Please feel free to leave directly from the ceremony to go to the reception. They will be ready at the reception whenever people arrive, so head to the Portland Golf Club and grab a drink and appetizer, and the bridal party and family will be close behind.
At the Portland Golf Club, there is ample parking for everyone! You are able to park in the lower lot right next to the club, and also in the upper lot that is on the opposite side of Scholls Ferry Road (located right next to the cemetery). If you park in the upper lot, please use the crosswalk to cross the street, then go down the stairs to reach the front entrance of the club.
Due to a small number of guests coming from out of town, we do not have a block of hotel rooms reserved. We suggest staying in downtown Portland, so that you will be close to the ceremony venue, and also get to experience the city life in Portland. If you need further help or recommendations on where to stay, we would be happy to help you... feel free to reach out to the Parris or Sheaffer family!
Everything that we have registered is available here, on our website. Just go to the "registry" tab up top and take a look! We are not registered at any stand alone stores.
