Matron of Honor
You know the saying "you don't choose your family, you choose your friends?" Cheesy as hell, but it couldn't apply more to Allyssa and Brittany's relationship. Allyssa is Brittany's sister, closest confidante, and the first person she calls for ANYTHING - exciting work news, wedding questions, a funny dog video on Instagram. A day without at least 3 Facetime calls feels incomplete. Allyssa's nickname in the family is "Junkyard Dog." Allyssa is fiercely protective and fiercely loving, and Britt could not be more grateful for both. Britt and David are SO excited for the addition of Allyssa's new husband, Banks, to the family. Banks and David became instant friends, having attended the same boarding school for the SAME reason (hockey) just years apart, and Britt could not love Banks more.
Maid of Honor
Ciera (CC) is Brittany's baby sister. Britt and CC are 7 years apart, which when you're younger, feels like a different generation. As Britt settled into her confident adult self and Ciera entered adulthood, they began to strengthen the bond that was always there, through similar experiences and a shared optimistic outlook on life. She is truly the most considerate person, which serves well in her studies, as she nears the end of her Masters Program to become a Family Therapist. As Britt and CC grow older, they become more and more alike (their cats are also related). Britt often asks CC for advice, always finding an open ear and a welcome heart. She could not be more grateful to be blessed with such an incredible human as her very own sister.
Officiant & Bridesmaid
If there was such a thing as a fourth Perez sister, Alissa would be her. Not only is she Brittany's best friend, but she's also formed a very close relationship with David, as well. During the 2.5 years that they all worked together, Alissa *encouraged* David to do such things as 1) talk to Brittany (never happened); 2) make the relationship official (he thought that people automatically became a couple); and 3) propose to Brittany. To this day, Alissa is credited with the success (and validity) of their relationship. David and Brittany realized that there was no one else in the world that they could imagine officiating their wedding, so they asked Alissa and she accepted! They can't wait to see what special moments she shares and how she chirps David during the ceremony.
Bridesmaid
Monica and Brittany have been best friends since Monica came to Brittany's house in Davis in 2010, sat in her recliner, and made herself at home. She's never left Brittany's side since that day, which during their 20's, was considered an admirable feat (Britt had a lot of fun during that time). Monica is the truest source of the most beautiful, deep conversations and challenges Brittany to be the best version of herself every single day. Monica's unwavering support and utterly beautiful personality is the source of so much joy in Brittany and David's life. It's probably worth mentioning that David has loved Monica since the day that he met her, and is so grateful for the open arms that she welcomed him with 5.5 years ago. You might find her at the DJ booth on wedding night!
Bridesmaid
Brittany and Christine met under the most interesting circumstances...Brittany was roommates with Christine's now-husband, Jake, in 2012. The first time that Britt and Christine met, they quickly identified that they were both Kappas in college, and the super-secret Kappa handshake was the foundation of an amazing friendship. All joking aside, Christine is who Brittany wants to be when she grows up. She is Brittany's idol, both professionally and personally. Britt will forever be grateful to Jake for introducing her to Christine, but the friendship with Jake that still remains today and his kindness to David so quickly in their relationship will forever be treasured. Britt and David can't wait to see the "Christine clap" all weekend and hope that Jake wears his famous Cookie Monster tank!
Bridesmaid
How does one even begin to describe Danielle? Brittany met Danielle on a rooftop on the 4th of July in 2012. Danielle was the coolest, most charismatic, most personable girl that Britt had met in a long time. And on that day, they just clicked. As they got closer, their friendship got deeper, and Brittany discovered that Danielle was immensely generous and so thoughtful. She was unlike any friend that Brittany had ever had, and that holds true to this day. Brittany has had the opportunity to witness Danielle become a wife and a mother with the most incredible man that Britt could've ever dreamed for her friend, Tomas, and the sweetest little boy, JJ Furio. Like many before, Brittany is so grateful to take this next step together!

Angela and Brittany's friendship was truly meant to be. From the day they met at Cakebread in Napa (different tasting groups, exchanged numbers on the spot - YUP), they knew this was something special. For the past 7 years, Angela has been Brittany's ride or die. If Brittany was going anywhere, Angela had to be there. Within their friend group, their names were basically interchangeable. Every experience, every memory in San Francisco has been with Angela. They've truly been through so much together - integration of friend groups, relationships, and most importantly, finding their soulmates. Britt couldn't be happier to be doing this "wedding thing" at the same time as Angela, and is SO excited for Angela and her wonderful fiancé, Besim, to be married in September!
Bridesmaid
You know when you're growing up and thinking about when you'll meet your forever person? Thoughts about your potential partner aside, the family that you'll be marrying into are always top of mind. Brittany truly could not have dreamed up a more incredible sister-in-law than Alli. They didn't meet under normal circumstances - Alli had been in Africa for 3.5 years before they had that opportunity. Once they were finally introduced in person, their connection was instant. They had exchanged messages over Whatsapp until that point, but meeting her was such an incredible moment. She's accepted Britt and loved her so deeply, and she couldn't be more grateful to have Alli as her new sister. BONUS: Alli just moved to the Bay Area, which is amazing, because she's already close to Britt's family.
Bridesmaid
Marina and Brittany were cut from the same cloth. They are both incredibly passionate about work and life, have no-nonsense attitudes, and love their families and friends fiercely. Britt worked with Marina at Intuit from 2013-2015, and then again at Copper from 2016-2020! They became close when they worked on the same team at Copper and overcame many of the business challenges as they were promoted to leadership together. Marina was Brittany's lifeline when things got tough, but was also the MOST FUN person when they needed to let their hair down on the weekend. As the years have progressed, Brittany and David have become close with Marina's husband, Josh, and their two beautiful children, Jackson and Ariella. Brittany couldn't be more grateful to have Marina by her side on the big day!
Bridesmaid
Brittany met Nicole at her last company, Copper. Are you sensing a theme here?! Brittany had the honor of working closely with Nicole for two and a half years (out of 3.5 total), during which time they formed a bond that led to a forever friendship. Even though they were obviously busy working hard every minute of the workday, they *maybe* would sometimes sneak to a conference room to vent about *life* and whatever was happening that day at work. Nicole, being the nicest person on Earth, always encouraged Britt to look at things with a different lens and the best intentions. No matter where Nicole is in the world (her travels are amaaaazing), it's always as if they just saw each other yesterday. When you see her at the wedding, ask her about her travels to Costa Rica and Mexico this year!
Bridesmaid
Alex is Brittany's oldest friend. Alex and Brittany met during their Freshman year of high school at softball tryouts, but quickly built a deep friendship off the field. Alex's family was Brittany's second family. They drove to every away game together, always ending the drive with Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" as a pump-up before their games. After high school, they kept in touch as Alex moved to Ohio, Iowa, Kazakhstan, and back to Ohio as she pursued her Masters and pHd. Brittany couldn't be more grateful for their ability to pick up right where they left off, as if no time has passed. It's also a little-known fact that David is Brittany's second marriage, after Alex & Britt exchanged diamond rings from Claire's in a grocery store parking lot in 2006.
Bridesmaid
Like many of her friends, Brittany met Alex through a friend...Angela! Over the years, Brittany and Alex grew closer, through their incredibly sarcastic jokes and VERY direct ways of communicating. Alex is always the most fun person at the party, always shows up, and is always willing to lend an ear when Brittany needs advice. Alex and Brittany can laugh for hours at the silliest things, with Alex's pup Charlie nearby, wanting to get in on the fun. Brittany is so grateful for Alex's unwavering support, for always being willing to take a shot of vodka, and for the lessons on how to best rock a crop top. Brittany couldn't be more grateful to have Alex beside her!
Best Man
Jason, otherwise known as "Torfles", and David first met at Culver Military Academy as freshmen where they would end up spending thousands of hours together on the ice and in the dorm as roommates. He has since been by Brittany and David's side for much of their relationship, including the time when he flew across the country to crash their proposal photos. Torf is a man of many talents, a love for Michael Jackson, great taste for wine and whiskey. He has also been voted most likely to be placed on the IR after spending time on the dance floor. He is joined by his partner, Jen, and they will be welcoming a baby girl in January.
Groomsman
While they had played against each other prior, Nick and David officially met in 2007 while on the same team at a hockey tournament. Nick was eager to strike up a friendship having lost multiple battles on the half boards (it's a hockey thing) during their time as opponents. A couple years later, they met up again as teammates at Notre Dame to become members of the ultra-selective "grinder line" for 3 years. Having so many fun college memories together, Nick is one of the most loyal people that we know and always the first to stick up for a friend. He is joined by his wife, Kerri (aka MacGyver).
Groomsman
Tanner and David have known each other since kindergarten, having families that lived only a couple blocks from one another throughout elementary, middle, high school and college. Teammates during baseball season growing up, summers of hot dog eating contests with Snoop (dog), and lots of time spent states apart - they've been friends through it all. During this time, and to their parents chagrin, they created a 10-year tradition of always greeting each other after extended time away from one another at the famed local watering hole "Benchwarmers" - a staple of the Ankeny community and source of many great stories. Tanner is joined by his wife, Katelyn.
Groomsman
Steve, or 'Summy', and David met in 2010 as members of a hockey team in Green Bay. David quickly learned a couple things: that Summy has one of the most "normal" goalies to ever exist, and that goalies can actually fight (seriously, Google search it). The next year, they would head of to Notre Dame together where they would enjoy the rigorous student-athlete grind while enjoying "Sunday Funday's" and "Techno Tuesday's". Now a resident of LA and a member of the ND Cali-crew, Summy is one of the kindest people we know, with the unique skill of knowing how to take it as much he can dish it. Steve is joined by his partner, Eli (and honorary groomswomen). Ay der Shieve.
Groomsman
Jared (wow that felt wrong), or 'Beersy', and David's paths have crossed so many times that it's hard to keep track of them all. Having met at Culver during their freshman year but playing on different teams, playing against each other during junior hockey, joining as teammates at Notre Dame for 4 years, to today as ND's most recent introduction to the Cali-crew. He is an incredibly thoughtful human being and easily one of the most relatable people in any room he walks into. Be sure to watch out for his Bieber-like hair flip.
Groomsman
Banks and David met unkowingly in 2015 after Banks sent David head over heels at an adult league hockey game. Fate would have them meet again... at the Perez family Christmas in 2016 where Banks provided support for David, who was nervous to meet the whole family for the first time. Over the years they have grown up as individuals and friends, much to the delight of Allyssa and Brittany, to be pretty capable adults. In all seriousness, he's the hardest working person in the room and one of the best untrained cooks that we know - and has graciously offered to cook for the whole wedding! Banks is joined by wife - as of January 2022 - Alyssa (Matron of Honor).
Groomsman
David and Jared had an instant connection when they met each other at a Perez family event (Jared is Britt's cousin). Brittany is one of three daughters, so Jared has essentially been like their brother since he was born. David was relieved to get some male energy in the room (as was Banks). David always looks forward to deep, insightful conversations with Jared about politics, sales, and life in general over a beer (or 10) and can always rely on Jared to be one of the last couple people standing at any family gathering. David and Brittany couldn't be happier that he's agreed to join the party, and can't wait for everyone to get to know their awesome cousin!
