We’re getting married!

Felix and Abigail met freshman year at Cal Poly, living in the same dorm. Felix joined Alpha Gamma Rho and became close friends with Abigail's guy friends from high school. Senior year, he finally asked her to be his date to the AGR Formal in Vegas (as “just friends”- but with a secret crush), and Abigail painted him a custom ice chest for the trip. After that weekend, they talked every day. They spent a summer apart, talking nonstop while he interned for Mission, and when he returned, they picked up right where they left off. A week later, over Panda Express and a sunset at Shell Beach, Felix officially asked Abigail to be his girlfriend. After graduating in December 2022, Felix moved to Oxnard for a new job as a Farm Manager with Mission Produce, while Abigail stayed in SLO to finish student teaching. In January 2023, just three months into dating, they got their first apartment together. They spent six months doing "medium-distance", driving back and forth every weekend until Abigail finished her credential and moved to Oxnard full time. In March 2024, they moved into a house on an avocado orchard in Fillmore and soon after added their chocolate lab, Lexie, to the family.

On their way to dinner one evening, Felix asked Abigail to make a quick stop at Elkins, one of the avocado orchards he helps manage. Hidden among the trees, Abigail found a table set with roses, candles, and champagne, with their friend Isabel tucked away nearby, ready to capture the moment. Surrounded by the orchard, Felix got down on one knee and asked Abigail to marry him. We are so excited to start this new chapter and celebrate with all the people we love!
