Percy and Zack met at the end of summer 2022. Zack had moved to Fort Wayne from his small hometown some years prior and Percy had just returned home from living in Chicago for many years. The two had met online and spent their first days chatting on the phone and feeling out the other as things seemed so easy and almost too good to be true. Until finally a few weeks later they both worked up the courage and decided to meet up for a walk while Zack was walking his dog before starting off the weekend. Zack brought one of his dear friends Brittany with him on the walk and Percy brought his girlfriend Talin along as well. The small group bounced around town and ran into some friends and were off to a great start. Soon after, Zack and Percy were comfortable and enjoying themselves so they broke off from their friends and spent the rest of evening together at a hometown favorite along the river . They ended the night with a short walk and by that point, they both knew something special had taken place. The rest was history.
