Elizabeth was a Rainbow Girl and Noah was a DeMolay Boy at the Buxton Masonic Lodge. They lived in the same town of Hollis and attended Bonney Eagle HS. Elizabeth noticed Noah first. They were at a masonic Christmas event. Noah noticed Elizabeth for the first time a few months later on a trip to Springvale, Mass with Rainbow and DeMolay, where they shared a piece of blueberry pie and listened to music on Noah's Ipod together. Noah and Elizabeth would hang out after school at the bus pick up area. They bother were a little shy and hesitant to ask the other out, so this went on for quite a while. Until finally Noah got up the courage to ask Elizabeth to the Prom, and later to be his girlfriend.
We had taken a small getaway for the evening to Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park to relax and take pictures. October had turned into the month of weddings and we needed a little break away from the world. The whole ride to Acadia I kept noticing that Noah seemed anxious, but that wasn't unusual with the stress of his senior year of college being a constant. Every song on the Spotify playlist that was playing was perfect. I loved all of them. Later I would find out that this was a special playlist that Noah had created for this special trip. The scene at the top of Cadillac Mountain was awestriking, yet peaceful. Though the sunset wouldn't offer it's normal array of color, the light was just right to show the natural beauty of the land. Thinking we were there to take pictures, I didn't think it odd that Noah was setting up a tripod for his camera. What he was really setting up the camera for was to give me a surprise that would bring me to tears of joy, something I had been waiting for for a long time. I had dreamed so many times of what I would say and how I would feel in that moment, but when it really happened I was speechless. All I could feel was elation at the idea that there was this boy......asking this girl......to take him for better or worse, forever and always. Yes.....forever and always.
We wanted to reach out and talk about the possibility of COVID-19 altering our wedding plans a bit. As of right now in the state of Maine we are only allowed gathering of 50 or less with social distancing. You can see how a guesiat of 80 would be potentially problematic if these restrictions were to hold until October. That being said, we are raining hopeful and planning cautiously but still planning like we wont have to make such a drastic change to our wedding day plans. As of now we plan to make our final decision on our October 24th reception in the month of September. There has been some discussion if we had to cut the guest list that may also have the option of havibg our wedding that day with a few close friends and family and then have the reception at a time when everyone can attend safely but we have not decided as of yet what option we would go with. Please keep in formed through this website if you have any questions please feel free to conduct an alarm for myself and we will gladly discuss/ possibly vent to you about this whole thing. Its been rough but we are staying hopeful and excited, even in this time of uncertainty. Thabk you and we live you all
