FAQs

If you have any questions that are not listed here, please do not hesitate to text Penny at 561-707-1792.
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 4pm. Make sure to leave time to park and walk the short distance to the ceremony site. Our ceremony will start by 4:15pm.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are having a micro-wedding, and due to the venue agreement, we are only allowed a very small number of guests. Therefore, our wedding is strictly RSVP, and we will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. Unless your child is part of our ceremony, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We are having an "Unplugged Ceremony". We ask that you kindly turn your phones on silent and leave them in your pocket or purse through the entirety of the ceremony so that you can be fully present with us. We have a photographer and videographer who will capture everything. It's much easier for them to get the shots if guest's phones aren't in the way. Once the ceremony has ended, please feel free to take as many photos/videos as you'd like! And don't forget to use our wedding hashtag: #aPennyForYourDaws

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our entire event will be held outdoors in the mountains. July in Julian is very warm during the day (typically in the 80's), but it will cool down (between 60-70 degrees) in the evening. There are zero expected days of rainfall in July... fingers crossed!

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We are having a wood-fired oven pizza truck at our reception! There will appetizers, salad, and four types of delicious pizza (two vegetarian options, two with meat). The open bar will be serving beer, wine, and our signature cocktails, along with a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is free parking at Sacred Mountain. This is where the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Uber and taxis do not exist in the rural town of Julian, so please plan accordingly. There is plenty of free parking available at Sacred Mountain, which is where the entirety of our wedding evening will take place.

Question

Do you have any hotel suggestions?

Answer

Yes! Please see the "Travel" tab on our website.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you know if you'll be able to make it to our special day. It would help us immensely with our planning process. The final deadline to RSVP is May 1st. Thank you!

For all the days along the way
