Highly recommend, but be prepared for LONG wait times (as in, hours). Pro tip is to order ahead and pick up.
The Continental Club
This place has played host to some of the greatest artists of all time, including James' dad back in the late 70s. For some old school Austin live music, include the Continental Club on your list!
Torchy's Tacos
Torchys started as a food truck serving up amazing tacos (both for lunch and breakfast) and now has spread into many brick and mortar locations, try the "Trailer Park" taco and make sure to get it 'trashy.'
Easy Tiger
If you like cold beer and hot pretzels, check this place out on 6th street!
Uchiko
Penny and James' favorite Austin restaurant and some of the best Japanese food you've ever had (yes, in Texas!).
Texas Capitol
One of the only state capitols that is taller than the nation's capitol because, well...Texas. Really cool sight to check out!
Odd Duck
James use to go to Odd Duck when it was just a food truck back in his glory days. Like a few other Austin food truck success stories, the chef/owner turned the successful truck into a brick and mortar restaurant where they still serve the best seasonal (and sometimes odd!) dishes year around. This is one of our favorite places for breakfast.
