Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Rachel Pence and Alex Broder
Have some time to explore? Consider checking out one of our favorite spots around the city!
Portland Japanese Garden

Portland Japanese Garden

611 Southwest Kingston Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

Considered one of the most authentic Japanese Gardens outside of Japan, this is a must see if you have the time. Parts of the garden are ADA accessible, refer to the website if you have mobility concerns. If not making accessibility accommodations, expect a short but steep hill to enter the garden.

Lan Su Chinese Garden

Lan Su Chinese Garden

239 Northwest Everett Street, Portland, OR 97209

You'd never know such a serene garden lives in the middle of the Old Town / Chinatown neighborhood of downtown Portland. We highly recommend a visit to their tea house after you've explored the property.

Mt. Tabor Park

Mt. Tabor Park

Southeast Salmon Street, Portland, OR 97215

Don't let this dormant volcano scare you! Right in the heart of Portland's Eastside, this park includes Douglas Fir forested trails (can you find the Giant Sequoia?), picturesque reservoirs and beautiful views of the city. Mt Hood is visible on a clear day!

Powell's City of Books

Powell's City of Books

1005 West Burnside Street, Portland, OR 97209

Do we have to explain this one? Books on books on books! The largest new + used bookstore in the world (allegedly). Don't forget to visit the rare book room.

Portland Art Museum

Portland Art Museum

1219 Southwest Park Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

The Portland Art Museum is known for its Native American art collection, Pacific Northwest art, and 20th-century modern works. Special exhibits over the wedding weekend include David Hockney: Works from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation and Lisa Jarrett: Tenderhead.

Oregon Coast Range

Oregon Coast Range

OR

Though not in the city, we highly recommend a visit to the Oregon Coast! Cannon Beach and Manzanita are the closest and popular choices. Parking can be tough on the weekends. You might also consider heading south to the coastal towns of Pacific City and Lincoln City or north to the port town of Astoria!
