Ride to and from the Punta Cana airport - OTIUM TOUR SHUTTLE

The closest airport to the resort is the Punta Cana Airport (PUJ), which is 20 minutes away by taxi, shuttle, or Uber. See shuttle section for booking transport. You can arrange your transport to and from the hotel to the airport prior to your trip through any transportation company in Punta Cana, but we recommend booking this one: https://www.otiumtour.com/melia/en If you use Otium, you will find their kiosk as soon as you go through the doors to go outside on the left (passed baggage claim). Their teams wear orange shirts. There are also people that will ask you what transport you are using and help you get there. You can also use a taxi and expect to pay $20-$30 each way. They are very safe but their are not honest with pricing, so don’t let them charge you more than that! They will take USD, Euros, and Dominican Pesos. Or you could download the Uber app and use that once you are there.

TRAVEL TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

Our guests' health and safety is most important to us, so we ask ALL GUESTS TO BE VACCINATED with all required Covid-19 vaccine doses before attending our wedding (boosters optional). If this is not something you had planned on doing on your own, we fully understand that it's a personal choice and if you can't make the wedding as a result. If you are a US, EU, Panama, Chile, or Canadian citizen with a passport from one of these countries staying less than 30 days in the Dominican Republic, you do not need any paperwork aside from your passport to enter the Dominican Republic. Venezuelan passport holders without an American nor European visa will need to apply for a Dominican Republic tourist visa in a nearby consulate. There are no COVID-19 vaccination, test, nor quarantine requirements to enter the Dominican Republic. NEEDED TO GO BACK TO THE U.S. AFTER THE WEDDING

To go back to the U.S, you are required to provide a negative viral COVID-19 test taken 1 calendar day before the day of your flight to the United States (if you your flight from the DR departs any time on Monday, your test would need to be on Sunday). The resort will arrange acceptable on-site testing for you at no cost and ensure you have results for your departure that will satisfy the U.S. test result requirements to get back home. Let the resort know upon arrival. Testing positive for COVID-19 to go back to the United States would result in that person staying in Punta Cana for 2 weeks (until test is negative) and not being able to return home until then.
