Question

What COVID precautions will be in place?

Fortunately the venue is large enough and has plenty of air circulation courtesy of the large garage door and outdoor space to be expected to be at max capacity (80) by the time of our wedding. We will likely keep our guest list below that though to ensure everyone has plenty of space to spread out. Additional steps we'll be taking include: Individually plated food Having as much of the event outdoors as possible (ceremony, dinner, dancing) Encouraging mask wearing when not eating/drinking We want to make sure everyone feels safe while celebrating and are keeping our fingers crossed that the majority of attendees will be vaccinated. We'd ask our guests (vaccinated or otherwise) to try and quarantine as much as possible in the days leading up to the wedding to minimize exposure or get tested to ensure you're in the clear! If for any reason you still don't feel comfortable, we completely understand and will look forward to celebrating at a later date.

Is there a specific hotel to stay at?

Answer

There is not! With COVID we didn't know what people's comfort levels would be in terms of traveling, so leaving it up to guests to determine where they're most comfortable (hotels, Airbnb, etc). We've recommended a couple of options based on proximity to the venue or proximity to things to do in Chicago, but feel free to contact us directly if you have questions!
