English Steven and Stephanie met when they were just 17 years old, working together at Marble Slab Creamery. What started as a typical after-school job quickly turned into something much more meaningful. Between scooping ice cream and closing shifts, a friendship formed that soon grew into a love neither of them could have imagined at the time. They officially began dating in 2017, and not long after, their relationship was put to the test when Steven left for college at High Point University. For the next five years, they navigated long-distance dating—learning the importance of communication, trust, and making every visit count. Despite the miles between them, their bond only grew stronger as they supported each other through college, life changes, and countless milestones. After Steven graduated, the distance finally closed, and they began their life together in Charlotte. Building a home side by side confirmed what they had always known—this was forever. On December 28, 2025, Steven proposed in Ballantyne Corporate Park, a place filled with special memories, as it was where they took their prom photos back in high school. Choosing that meaningful location was a full-circle moment, honoring where they began and celebrating how far they had come together. From a teenage job to a lifelong partnership, their journey has been filled with love, patience, and growth. They are so excited to celebrate this special day with the family and friends who have supported them every step of the way.
