Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for recommendations.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for details of our hotel block.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

For our wedding at Briar Barns, we recommend flying into Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our recommended hotel in Grand Rapids is a convenient 24 minute drive from the airport, making your travel arrangements smooth and straightforward.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For our wedding, we invite you to dress in cocktail or formal attire. Think suits, cocktail dresses, and formal gowns (no tuxes required). Check out our Attire page for ideas! To maintain the visual harmony of our special day, we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing sage green, light gray, terracotta, and white. Jeans are not appropriate for this celebration.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We respectfully request no children under the age of 13 at the ceremony or reception, allowing all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:00pm. Please arrive no earlier than 3:30pm and no later than 3:45pm.

Question

What time does the reception end?

Answer

Our reception will conclude at 11:00pm.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony begins at 4:00pm, with the reception immediately following. We'll have a brief intermission for photos, during which guests can enjoy a delightful cocktail hour complete with hors d'oeuvres and complimentary drinks.

Question

Is there anything special we should know?

Answer

As we celebrate our wedding day, we've planned two special moments for our guests to enjoy. During our ceremony, we'll provide bubbles for everyone to blow as we are pronounced husband and wife. Then, at the end of our reception, guests will create a magical sparkler exit as we make our grand departure from the barn.

Question

Will the event be indoors, outdoors, or a mix of both?

Answer

A mix of both! The entire grounds are available for use including an outdoor patio, fire pit, and yard games.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available at Briar Barns. Please follow the signs to the designated parking lot. The parking lot upfront is reserved for vendors and limited handicapped spaces (please let me know on your RSVP if you will need parking assistance).

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

In the event of heavy rain, our ceremony will move indoors. In the event of light rain, we are prepared to have our ceremony outdoors and ask that you plan accordingly.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy! After the ceremony has concluded, feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you’d like!

Question

Can we post pictures on social media?

Answer

Yes! If you are posting on social media we have a hashtag we would love for you to use! #AllSmilesForTheGiles

Question

How should I RSVP?

Question

What if I don’t RSVP in time?

Answer

If you miss the September 1st, 2026 RSVP deadline, you will unfortunately be marked as "not attending" our wedding. To ensure accurate planning with our vendors, we must have a final guest count, and we cannot accommodate late RSVPs. This means no seating, meal, or beverage arrangements will be available for guests who do not respond by the specified date.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us as long as you are on the dance floor. 😊

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

For any additional questions, please reach out to our Host & Hostess, Pedro and Carmen Rodriguez. We've compiled comprehensive information in the links above, and we kindly ask that you do not contact the bride and groom directly with inquiries.
