We first met in August of 2020 at a graduation party in St. Louis. From that very first moment, there was a sense that our paths were meant to cross, and that together, we were beginning something extraordinary. Over the past five years, our love has deepened through every challenge and triumph. From the distance and uncertainty of Gavin leaving for the Air Force to building a life together far from our families in Nebraska, we’ve faced moments that tested us in many ways. We’ve built a partnership rooted in trust, respect, and unwavering devotion. What makes our love so extraordinary isn’t only the milestones we’ve reached, but the small, meaningful moments that shape our days. The shared laughter, the quiet support when life gets hard, and the constant choice to show up for one another have woven a bond stronger than anything we could have imagined. Gavin’s determination and focus are matched by my honesty and resilience, and together we’ve built a love that is steady, joyful, and full of the kind of wonder that makes life feel like an adventure. Gavin proposed on July 6, 2025, in the secret garden on Mackinac Island, a place I’ve always cherished. The garden was in full bloom and the air was fresh from a morning rain, the moment felt perfectly ours. While snapping some pictures, he knelt down on one knee and promised a lifetime of love and devotion. As we look ahead, we are filled with excitement for all the years yet to come. A lifetime of shared dreams, laughter, growth, and unwavering love. Our story is still unfolding and we are so grateful to have each other to write every new chapter.
