Here are some of our favorite things to do in the area.

Historic Old Sacramento is a great place to walk around to look at all the shops, restaurants and museums. It has gold-rush era buildings and cobblestone streets that make you feel you're in another time. You can also walk down to the waterfront and eat at one of the restaurants overlooking the Sacramento River.

These are some of our favorite places we've visited in Northern California, and all are within a 1.5 to 2 hour drive, depending on traffic. If you are planning to stay an extra few days after or before the wedding, we recommend seeing some of these beautiful places!

Visit San Francisco, Napa Valley, or Bodega Bay

Sacramento Zoo

The State Capital is a fun area to walk around and take a tour if you like. The World Peace Rose Gardens at State Capital Park a few blocks away are worth checking out.
