What is the dress code?

What is the weather like in Sacramento that time of year?

Answer

Sacramento can be warm in early June (80's to 90's), however, our venue is very close to the delta and gets a breeze to cool it down. Our ceremony is at 6 pm and the reception goes until the late evening, so it may even get a tad chilly if it's a breezy day. If you get cold easily, you may want to bring a light sweater depending on that day's forecast. And since our ceremony is outdoors it can be partially sunny, so feel free to bring sunglasses so the sun doesn't get in your eyes.

Is the wedding outdoors?

Answer

Yes, this is an entirely outdoor wedding with the exception of our cocktail hour. You will be in shaded areas almost entirely, with the exception of part of the ceremony seating. Our reception will be in a tented area.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 6:00 pm sharp. Please arrive at 5:30 pm

Can I take photos at the ceremony with my phone?

Answer

We've decided to do an unplugged ceremony with no phones or cameras, so everyone can be present with us and share our special moment. We will plan a moment at the end of the ceremony where anyone who wants to can snap a few shots! And we will share pics with anyone who wants to see from the photographer after we get them back.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes, both are going to be at Scribner Bend Vineyards.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony Lisa and Carlos will be taking some family photos while you can enjoy cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres. After cocktail hour an announcement will be made to gather in the tented area for the reception with dinner, dancing, and celebrations!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We are planning an adults only wedding with the exception of a few kids in the wedding party. Our venue isn't ideal for smaller kids, and we want you to be able to relax and enjoy yourselves. If you are an out of town guest, we are trying to arrange for babysitting for families that need to travel with their little ones. Please reach out to Lisa or Carlos if you are planning to travel with your children so we can help figure out a plan for the evening.

If I'm coming from out of town do I need a rental car?

Answer

Because the hotel is only about 15 minutes from the airport, and the venue is only about 15-20 minutes from the hotel, you can use Lyft or uber if you like. If you want to rent a car, we have options listed on the travel page of car rentals at the Sacramento airport.

Does the Venue have parking?

Answer

Yes, There is plenty of parking at Scribner Bend Vineyards. Guests that don't feel comfortable driving home afterwards can take an uber or taxi and the venue allows cars to be left overnight. However, they must be picked up by 9 am the next morning and the venue states it's not responsible for any of the cars.

Can I park at the hotel?

Answer

Yes! The citizen hotel offers valet parking with in and out privileges. You will have a parking discount if you mention the Peart/Velez wedding.
