This is an out-and-back, 2.2 mile trail with an elevation gain of about 400 feet. The trail is considered moderately challenging but we found it fairly easy. It takes a little over an hour to complete. The view of the falls is nice, but the water flow was less than expected (just trying to manage expectations). The walk is really nice though with beautiful views of the mountains.
The Umbrella Bar at Ten Peaks (if open in May) is Crested Butte Mountain Resort's newest on-mountain addition. Where once stood a small cabin at the top of Painter Boy ski lift, there is now an impressive circular bar and cook's kitchen with the best views around. .
