What is the town of Crested Butte like?

Answer

Crested Butte is a small mountain town (Pop. 1,600) with a unique, funky vibe. There are a number of shops and restaurants to explore -- two of our favorites were Bonz Tequila Bar & Grill and Secret Stash (best pizza we have ever eaten).

What is the weather like that time of year in Crested Butte?

Answer

Who knows? Seriously, the weather in May is a bit unpredictable. There could even be some snow. Regardless, temps will be cool, with an average of close to 60 degrees in the day, and 30s at night. So, bring some warm clothes and prepare to layer.
