What is traffic like?

Answer

PSA: There will be a road closure on eastbound i-80 between 17th Street and Fourth Street as per https://www.sfgate.com/travel/article/caltrans-close-sf-exit-22193680.php. Please allocate extra time getting to the wedding venue. This is a major part of the highway that is closed. This is relevant for folks coming from near the financial district/hotel blocks and from the East Bay. If you take the shuttles from the hotels, you will get to the ceremony on time.

What is the weather in San Francisco?

Answer

Our wedding in April 2026 promises delightful San Francisco weather! This time of year is renowned for its comfortably mild and wonderfully sunny days, with average temperatures hovering around a pleasant high of 66°F and a gentle low of 52°F. Our ceremony and reception will both be indoors. But, for any other activities during that weekend, we always recommend that you bring a jacket!

How safe is San Francisco?

Answer

Fun fact: Briana (by accident) lived in the most dangerous part of SF for cheap rent - the Tenderloin. Generally, we recommend visitors to not go there unless vigilant. Mostly any crime that does occur there is internal to the groups that live there, so it is mostly ok. A good rule of thumb is try not to wander southwest of Union Square (i.e. the triangle that forms between Geary, Van Ness Ave, and Market St).

What should I wear? What shouldn't I wear?

Answer

The attire for the wedding is black tie optional and for the night before is cocktail / blazer and slacks attire. Black tie optional generally means a dark suit or tux. We kindly ask that you adhere to traditional wedding etiquette regarding colors to avoid. For dresses, please refrain from wearing white, ivory, or light champagne. For your reference as a few people have been asking, the bridesmaids will be wearing Dusty Blue by Birdy Grey if you prefer not to match the bridal party. But, we love that color, so if you end up matching, that is ok!
