Yes, the ceremony and reception will both be held at Hawthorne House!
We plan to hold an outdoor ceremony if the weather permits. Plan to bring a jacket or coat if you tend to get cold easily. Ladies may want to consider wearing block heels or flats, as you may be walking in the grass for a short amount of time. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony and reception will both be held indoors.
We ask that you please RSVP by April 15th at the latest. If you do not RSVP, we will assume you are not able to make it and will not be able to reserve you a seat.
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. We plan on a night full of dancing so wear something you feel comfortable in!
The venue has parking spots on-site near the chapel and reception hall. There will be staff to direct you when you arrive.
Yes! We have reserved hotel blocks at two hotels. The Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City at Briarcliff and The Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City at Country Club Plaza. Check the "Travel" tab for links to book your stay at a discounted rate and for more information on shuttles.
You will be missed! If you are unable to make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no” so we can plan accordingly. If you must change your RSVP after your initial response, please reach out to the bride or groom directly.
