FAQ

The Wedding Website of Thomas Wheeler and Payton Vibe
Question

When should I arrive in Italy?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least one day before the welcome dinner to give yourself time to settle in, adjust to the time difference, and enjoy the start of the celebrations. If you're able, we'd highly encourage spending a few extra days exploring beautiful Umbria or Tuscany, or Rome (2 hour drive)!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

While we encourage you to travel to Italy with friends and family and make it a shared trip, we are only able to accommodate and welcome the guests named on your invitation to our scheduled wedding events. We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone and appreciate your understanding.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please see the "Attire Inspiration" tab for pictures and examples. For shoes - our venue features stone courtyards and pathways. We recommend block heels, or wedges instead of thin stilettos for added comfort.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

September in Umbria is typically warm and sunny during the day, with possible cooler evenings. Average temperatures range from 18–28°C (64–82°F), so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for later in the evening if it happens to cool down.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be outdoors?

Answer

Yes. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing will all take place outdoors, weather permitting.

Question

Will there be vegetarian or dietary options?

Answer

Absolutely! Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP, and we'll make sure you're well looked after.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport is Perugia (PEG), which is the most convenient option for reaching Umbria, though it has more limited flight connections. Florence (FLR) is also a great nearby alternative with a wider range of routes. For guests travelling from further abroad, Rome (FCO) offers the most international flight options, with a direct flight available from Calgary (YYC). From any of these airports, renting a car or taking the train is a wonderful way to explore Italy before making your way to the wedding.

Question

Is it okay to take photos with phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we’d love for you to capture and share the joy of the day! Please just be mindful during the ceremony and refrain from taking photos at that time so our professional photography and videography can be fully uninterrupted.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

If you're driving, parking is available at the venue.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we could ask for. We know many of our family and friends are travelling a long way to celebrate with us, and we are so grateful for the time, effort, and expense that journey involves. Because of that, we have chosen not to create a wedding registry, and we genuinely do not expect gifts. If you feel you would still like to celebrate us with a gift, a card box will be available at the reception for your convenience. Most importantly, we simply can't wait to celebrate this unforgettable weekend with you in Italy!

Question

What if I have more questions?

Answer

We're always happy to help! Feel free to reach out to either of us anytime!
