Fall of 2022, Liam had moved into a house on Madison Street, which just so happened to be the house right next door to where Payton lived. There were a few tailgates where Coach had gotten them to talk to each other and a few brief hellos, but nothing much more until a Halloween party.
Payton and her roommates had jokingly made a "Kiss Cam" sign to pass around the party for Halloween. It just so happened that Liam and Payton were made the next victims of the kiss cam. But instead of a kiss, they high-fived. From then on, unknowingly to each other, Payton and Liam were both extremely embarrassed and didn't speak for the next few months.
Flash forward to Valentine's Day, at a champagne and shackles party conversation sparked and Payton and Liam finally exchanged phone numbers. Later the next day, Liam asked Payton on a date where they got Paul's Pelmini and went to the IO arcade bar.
The rest is history :)
