Things To Do

There is lots to explore in Humboldt County! If you end up with some time on your hands, I recommend exploring the hiking trails in the area to get up close and personal with the majestic redwoods! Also, bring a bathing suit if you'd like to take a dip in the South Fork of the Eel River. Please keep in mind that the venue itself is in a more rural area of Humboldt County. For this reason, I recommend bringing food and snacks if you find yourself hungry later in the evening. If you're not local to Humboldt County and plan on taking a longer trip, please let us know, and we'll gladly give you more specific recommendations for exploring the place we love so much.

Stephens Grove Loop Trail

Myers Flat, CA 95554

Enjoy this beautiful hike through the magnificent Redwoods. Only a five-minute drive down the Avenue of the Giants from the venue, this short one-mile hike will transport you to another world.

The Eel River

The Eel River is just a five-minute drive from our venue. Park your car at the turnout near the bridge connecting 101 to Miranda/Phillipsville, and walk down to the rocky riverbed. Enjoy the refreshing waters of Humboldt's beloved Eel River.

Avenue of the Giants

Cruise the Avenue of the Giants, a 31-mile scenic drive down the old Highway 101, which parallels the current 101 as it traverses 51,222 acres of redwood groves. Our wedding venue is on the Avenue of the Giants, but if you're driving Northbound, it starts on exit 645 off 101 and continues North, ending just past the town of Pepperwood.

The Peg House

69501 U.S. 101, Leggett, CA 95585

Never Don't Stop.
