We both attended Purdue University, where our lives quietly overlapped long before we ever realized it. Payton’s junior and senior year roommate, Ben, was one of Jules closest friends since the end of high school. Over the years, we met only briefly (once at one of Ben’s birthday parties) and otherwise stayed connected through stories and updates passed along by Ben, never knowing how intertwined our paths truly were. Fast forward to the summer of 2023, Payton graduated from Purdue and moved to Houston for work. Seven months later, Jules followed, unknowingly bringing us one step closer to each other. In May of 2024, Ben planned a trip to visit Payton and mentioned he wanted to spend some time with Jules as well. Jules offered to set up a tour of NASA for the three of us, and during those hours together, something shifted. What started as a simple day quickly revealed a connection neither of us could ignore! Over the next few months, we spent time truly getting to know one another. We shared many meaningful conversations and discovered how similar our lives and values were. We even realized we had the exact same “secret” study spot on campus, meaning we likely crossed paths countless times without ever knowing it! Looking back, it’s clear that God was guiding our story long before we could see it, aligning our steps with perfect timing. On October 27, 2025, Payton asked Jules to marry him, and it was the easiest yes of her life! We are so excited and grateful to begin this next chapter together, trusting God as the foundation of our marriage and our future.
