San Luis Obispo offers plenty to do! The famous SLO Farmer’s Market on Thursday nights is perfect for exploring town and sampling delicious food from local vendors. Art lovers will enjoy the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art with its rotating exhibits. For a creative experience, take a pottery class at AnamCre Pottery Studio, where classes are available for all levels—including a popular date night class on Fridays and Saturday morning classes for all. San Luis Obispo has an amazing food and drink scene! We love Scout Coffee, with two cozy locations in town. For cocktails, try Sidecar, where we had our first date, or Giuseppe's, where we went the night Nigel proposed. The Hub, near downtown, is also a great spot to explore—it features Krobar Restaurant and Cocktail Bar, Central Coast Brewing Company, plus pool tables, darts, ping pong, and a spacious outdoor area for a fun night out.
Avila Beach offers charming spots like Avila Valley Barn, where you can pick up fresh produce, meet friendly farm animals, and enjoy seasonal activities. Relax at Sycamore Mineral Springs in private mineral tubs nestled in the hills, or take a leisurely walk along the Bob Jones Trail from San Luis Creek to the beach. For a bit of history, visit Point San Luis Lighthouse, a restored 1890 landmark with scenic tours every Wednesday and Saturday—a must-see hidden gem! For coffee, food, and drinks in Avila Beach, start your day at Kracken Coffee for a seaside pick-me-up. Enjoy oceanfront dining at Custom House Restaurant for classic California fare or pop into Mr. Rick's Bar for casual beachside cocktails with live music. For a unique dining experience, head to Mersea’s Restaurant at the end of Harford Pier, where you can savor fresh seafood with stunning ocean views.
Pismo Beach offers plenty of adventure and fun! Drive on the beach, rent ATVs to explore the dunes, or sign up for a horseback riding adventure along the coast. For a more relaxed day, head to Dinosaur Park to enjoy the sun, take in the views, and have a picnic—we love picking up sandwiches and playing catch there. You can also go bowling at Pismo Bowl or, just across the street, stop by HotShots for pool and our favorite game, air hockey. Pismo Beach has fantastic spots for food and drinks. Enjoy authentic Italian at Giuseppe's or grab a tasty sandwich at Hoagies. For great views, Wooly’s is the perfect downtown choice, while Splash Cafe is a local favorite for seafood and famous clam chowder bread bowls. Mo's BBQ is a must-try for barbecue lovers, and for nightlife, Harry’s dive bar offers great cover bands and some of the best people-watching in town.
