The day that I proposed to Payne, I was more worried about losing the ring than I was about asking her to marry me. I had reached out to a photographer to capture pictures of our engagement disguised as a “Fall Photoshoot.” We laugh about it now because it was about 80 degrees outside and we were wearing sweaters and boots. As we were getting our pictures taken, our photographer said the code word (which I forgot) to go ahead and pop the question. I had crammed this giant ring box down my boot so here I was kneeling trying to get it out. In my defense, they don’t make ring boxes very easy to hide. I’m pretty sure Payne asked if I was tying my shoes. I finally pulled out the ring box and she was definitely in shock when I asked her to marry me. When she said yes, I was the happiest man alive! It was one of the best days of our lives. Since then, Payne has been working very diligently on our wedding plans. Myself…I have been going with the flow and keeping our two dogs out of her way. We can’t wait to celebrate our big day with our family and closest friends! -Ethan
