From Our Point of View

Taking it back to June 2022, Jennie was planning to host her annual tropical Tiki party! What she was not expecting was that Joel would be attending with some mutual friends. When he got there, he walked in the door and was greeted by Jennie - welcoming him with a hug and a lei, telling him to make himself at home. There was an immediate attraction between them, but their time was short-lived at the party. Fast forward to May 2023, Joel had moved to Chicago just in time for another one of Jennie’s annual party and was asked to be the DJ for fun! Luckily for them both, there was a series of technical difficulties that broke the ice, giving them the opportunity to talk and Joel ultimately left with her phone number. On their first date at Blue Sushi Sake, the conversation was nonstop for hours & they both knew right then and there that it was meant to be! 14 months later…. they found themselves engaged in Taormina, Sicily!
