Our story began 8 years ago when we met at Bri and Jase’s Halloween party, and continued as we crossed paths several times over the next 4 years. Fast forward to Amanda and Drew’s wedding in April 2021, where Jordan was a groomsman and Kate served as day-of coordinator. When Jordan first saw Kate the morning before the wedding, a notable interest clicked in his head. However, he no idea of the journey they would be on from that day. At the reception, Jordan asked Kate to dance and we enjoyed each other’s company throughout the rest of the evening - and even shared a kiss. This blossomed into us dating, saying “I love you” for the first time to one another, countless adventures and laughs, and Jordan meeting Kate’s cat, Arizona.

On November 13th, 2024, we set off on a mini-vacation to Napa. Unbeknownst to Kate, though hopeful and curious, Jordan planned to propose at the first winery of the day. A light rain began as we drove onto the idyllic winery estate, down a road lined with trees full of fall colors. We love the rain, so this was absolutely delightful! We arrived early for our tour - by Jordan’s design - and had an opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds a bit. We found shelter from the rain over the princess bridge, in a wooden gazebo next to the estate’s chardonnay vineyards. While nervous and trying hard to not show it, Jordan began saying all the feelings he had in his heart to express the love he had for Kate. Jordan got down on one knee and proposed to Kate, and she happily said “of course!” The rest of the trip was a wonderful time for us to continue celebrating our love, share the news with friends and family via FaceTime, and enjoy all the amazing scenery and wine Napa has to offer. The weekend was capped off with a surprise engagement brunch that Jordan had setup with the help of a few of Kate’s girlfriends.

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the historical Hollins House in Santa Cruz, CA.
